Rangers backed to sell Borna Barisic after Ibrox source’s reveal – Hutton
Alan Hutton has tipped Rangers to sanction the sale of Borna Barisic after making a move to sign Stoke City left-back Josh Tymon.
The former Gers defender and Rangers TV pundit, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, admitted the 29-year-old may have “run his course” at Ibrox.
A Rangers source told Football Insider on Tuesday (7 June) that the club have registered their interest in signing Tymon, 23, this summer.

The defender’s contract at Stoke runs until 2025, meaning the Gers face a multi-million-pound fee to prise him from the Potters.
Barisic and Calvin Bassey are Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s current senior options at left-back.
Hutton admitted the Croatia star could be moved on to make space for Tymon at Ibrox.
Asked if he would let Barisic go to bring Tymon in, Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “I mean, that’s the ideal situation.
“It’s no disrespect to the player but Barisic, possibly, has run his course. It could be time for a new challenge for him.
“Bassey is the one you want to keep a hold of. He’s very versatile as well, he can play the two positions as well. He can play left wing-back or left centre-half very well.
“You can accommodate Josh coming in, if you like. That could work out well, depending on where you see Bassey’s future within the team.
“You always have to look to the future and that’s what the manager is doing at this moment in time.”

Barisic played 43 times across all competitions for Rangers during the 2021/22 campaign.
He has 155 games under his belt for the Glasgow giants to date.
