Senderos starts in Warburton 4-3-3: Rangers best possible XI to face Hearts

By Emma Sanders

Philippe Senderos should start against Hearts in Saturday’s Scottish Premiership clash and James Tavernier should be omitted for the second game in a row.

The former Arsenal centre-back should come into the side to replace the suspended Clint Hill despite only making two league appearances this season.

Senderos should get the nod ahead of Danny Wilson due to his experience and he should line up alongside Rob Kiernan.

Tavernier was left out of the starting XI against Aberdeen and he should not return because Lee Hodson deserves to keep his place after a strong performance.

As well as Senderos, Kiernan and Hodson, Lee Wallace should line-up in defence and Wes Foderingham is the obvious choice as the Rangers number one.

Harry Forrester should start in an attacking front three alongside Joe Garner and Kenny Miller, who is still the club’s top goal-scorer after netting again on Saturday.

Michael O’Halloran should be the one to miss out in the starting XI, with Forrester coming in as his replacement.

Barrie McKay should retain his position in midfield and so should Jason Holt and Andy Halliday who have become regulars in the centre of midfield.

In other Rangers news, Warburton has sent this message to Tavernier after he was axed against Aberdeen.
