Rangers boss Michael Beale ‘can’t be trusted’ after source’s new signing reveal – pundit

Frank McAvennie has claimed Rangers boss Michael Beale “can’t be trusted”.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Celtic striker said the Gers will have to search “the bargain basement” for players this summer.

Last week (24 May), the Light Blues confirmed the signing of Norwich City’s Kieran Dowell on a pre-contract agreement.

The 25-year-old put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the Glasgow club and will officially join in 1 July.

On 27 May, Football Insider revealed that the Gers are set to announced Chelsea’s Dujon Sterling as their next summer signing.

The right-back has also signed a pre-contract agreement and will join the club following the expiration of his Stamford Bridge contract.

Sterling, 23, is believed to have turned down contract offers from Chelsea and loan club Stoke City in favour of making the move to Glasgow.

But McAvennie isn’t hopeful of Rangers attracting top qualitty players.

All that nonsense of asking people to come to his club, he did that at QPR and then as soon as he got the offer from Rangers he was off,” he told Football Insider.

You can’t trust him. No decent names are going to come to Rangers, they can’t afford the money to pay for decent players, that is just reality.

They are going to have to buy bargain basement and you might get one or two but you will not get four, five or six. Scottish football is not as easy as what people think it is.

In other news, Rangers make move to sign striker, £6.9m will seal the deal.
