Rangers confirmed line-up v Celtic: 22-year-old axed in two changes
By Will Butcher
Graeme Murty has made two changes to his Rangers side to face Old Firm rivals Celtic, handing Danny Wilson and Lee Hodson a start in defence.
Wilson, 25, has been handed just his 14th Scottish Premiership start of the season at the back for the Gers, replacing defender Rob Kiernan who has been handed a two-match ban.
Northern Ireland international Lee Hodson also comes in to the side, replacing on-loan star Jon Toral, with James Tavernier moving into midfield.
Rangers posted the team news on their official Twitter account, as former Liverpool defender Wilson partners centre-back Clint Hill at the heart of the 54-time Scottish champions’ defence.

Former Birmingham defender Kiernan’s appeal against a ban received for being sent off during the 3-2 win against St. Johnstone was ignored.

That will see Kiernan miss the Old Firm clash on Sunday at Celtic Park as well as next weekend’s clash against Hamilton, with Wilson coming in as his replacement.
Last week’s hat-trick hero Joe Garner will also miss the match, after receiving a yellow card during the 6-0 crushing of Hamilton last time out.
Interim boss Murty will be desperate to end his short spell in charge with a win, after Rangers confirmed Portuguese manager Pedro Caixinha will take charge on Monday.
However, the Gers have lost all three Old Firm clashes against Brendan Rodgers’ side this season, with Celtic currently on a winning streak of a huge 17 matches.
A win for Rangers will see them close the gap on second placed Aberdeen to six points, with the Gers set to face Derek McInnes’ Dons on April 9.
