Rangers ‘could trump’ Celtic after ‘special’ Giovanni van Bronckhorst reveal – Campbell
Kevin Campbell has heaped praise on Rangers ahead of their Europa League final against Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Arsenal and Everton striker said the “marvellous” achievement is “great for the profile” of the club and Scottish football as a whole.
The Gers arrived in Seville on Monday ahead of Wednesday’s final against Eintracht Frankfurt at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.
Speaking to club media (16 May), Giovanni van Bronckhorst urged his players to “embrace the pressure” ahead of a “special game.”
Campbell applauded the job Van Bronckhorst has done since arriving to Ibrox in November.
“Listen, it is a marvellous situation for Rangers,” he told Football Insider.
“They deserve it because they have produced some unbelievable results in Europe this season. That game against Leipzig was fantastic. They saw off a really good side.
“Rangers have the bit between their teeth now. It just shows what a good job Giovanni van Bronckhorst is doing as well. It was never going to be easy taking over from Steven Gerrard.
“They have missed out in the league but the Europa League would probably trump that.

“All of a sudden Rangers’ name is on people’s lips. It is great for their profile and the profile of Scottish football in general. They have surprised so many.
“There is some top players there. They are a very good side. These players will want to prove themselves in the final.”
