Attacker axed, fan favourite returns: Rangers expected XI v Hearts
Rangers manager Graeme Murty is expected to make two changes to the starting XI that faced Celtic with Andy Halliday and Daniel Candeias axed from the side to face Hearts on Sunday at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership.
The Gers boss is likely to bring 17-goal Josh Windass back into the side as well as fan favourite Jason Cummings after the Scottish Cup thrashing at the hands of Celtic at Hampden.
Goalkeeper Wes Foderingham is expected to keep his place in goal behind a back four of James Tavernier, Russell Martin, Ross McCrorie and Declan John as they look to shut-out Craig Levein’s side and build up a lead over Aberdeen in the race for second in the league table.
Ahead of them Graham Dorrans and Greg Docherty are likely to continue in central midfield as the Gers go back to a more familiar 4-2-3-1 after the botched attempt at whatever shape it was they tried to play at Hampden.
Windass and Cummings could come into the side as part of the front four with attacker Candeias axed.

Jamie Murphy and Alfredo Morelos could retain their places.
With the Gers only leading Aberdeen on goal-difference – and Hibs close behind in fourth – Murty’s side simply can’t afford to drop any points in what is likely to be an already tense atmosphere at Ibrox as fans still fume over the Scottish Cup semi-final defeat and ensuing situation surrounding Lee Wallace and Kenny Miller.
