Rangers expert: Glen Kamara’s agent working on Ibrox deal as ‘amazing’ transfer claim made

Glen Kamara’s agent is already working on securing his client a move away from Rangers.

That’s according to ex-Gers boss Alex McLeish, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the midfielder’s future.

On Sunday (25 September), sources told this site that the Light Blues are willing to sell Kamara in January after talks over a late-summer move to Nice collapsed.

The midfielder currently has three years left on his Ibrox contract after signing an extension last year.

McLeish insists the Gers will be able to secure an “amazing” fee for the Finland international.

“Over a period of time, I haven’t seen as much of him being selected by Gio,” McLeish told Football Insider’s Ben Wild.

“Now, that probably comes along with his agent looking at other options. Stevie Gerrard got great things out of him.

“He came for what, £50,000? I thought he really flourished. He has certain skills in the midfield where he can turn away from players and make a pass.

“His confidence seems to be a bit low right now because he isn’t an absolute regular under Giovanni. They should make an amazing amount of money in terms of what they paid for him.

“But, then, you have to find someone to replace him. I said a few months ago that Giovanni has to make his own group of players.

“If he says something he doesn’t like in one particular player then he isn’t going to play him. He will want to get guys he knows inside out.

“I think Kamara is a great player, I would have loved the chance to integrate him into my squad back in the day.

I do like him.”
