Rangers expert slams Michael Beale after Glen Kamara latest – ‘I’m not a massive fan’
Glen Kamara shouldn’t be training by himself even if he is leaving Rangers this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Gers defender Alan Hutton is hopeful Kamara’s situation can be resolved quickly.
As quoted by The Sun (30 July), boss Michael Beale revealed that the 27-year-old is currently training alone and said that it is best the midfielder is “to the side of the group”.
Kamara has two years left on his current deal at Ibrox but has been heavily linked with a move away.
Las week (25 July), Football Insider revealed that the Finland international is closing in on a £5million move to Leeds United.
The Championship club are hoping to beat out as many as ten other teams to Kamara’s signature.
When asked what it is like for a player to train away from their teammates, Hutton told Football Insider: “I have been there myself and it is very difficult.
“I had it for a couple of seasons at Aston Villa so I know what he is going through and how he is feeling and it is hard.
“All you want to do is play for the team that you are at, be with the others day in day out and for whatever reason that is not happening.
“It seems like his future lies elsewhere but he can only do what he can do and control his side of it and continue to work hard but that is difficult when you are on your own.

“I understand from Rangers’ point of view because they do have a bit of a bloated squad at this moment in time. You just hope that it can be resolved quickly so that Kamara can move on and play regularly.
“Ultimately I am not a massive fan of players going away and training on their own but I understand why it happens.“
