Rangers expert suggests permanent Abdallah Sima deal afer source’s ‘advanced talks’ reveal
Rangers would prefer a permanent deal for Abdallah Sima.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Gers defender Alan Hutton said that although the club will explore loan deals this summer, Michael Beale would prefer to have his players in permanently.
On 27 June, Football Insider revealed that the Glasgow club are in advanced talks to sign the 22-year-old from Brighton.
Although a deal has not yet been agreed, negotiations are believed to be at a very advanced stage.
The winger’s current contract at Brighton runs until 2025 after joining from Slavia Prague in 2021.
But Sima is yet to make an appearance for the Seagulls and has spent most of his time at the club out on loan.
When asked if Rangers will be focusing on the potential for more loan deals this summer, Hutton told Football Insider: “I think they will explore it.
“I do not think it is an ideal situation for Michael Beale. I think he wants his players in that he can work with moving forward, not just one season. It is a short term fix really.
“I think he is a very exciting young player. He played against Rangers for Slavia Prague so I saw him at those games. I think he ticks a lot of boxes for Michael Beale.

“Brighton bought him for about £7million-plus so it is only ever going to be a loan.
“He has not quite broken through at Brighton so he is looking to find his way. It is probably not ideal but it is something that Rangers moving forward will try and get a couple of loans but not too many.“
