Rangers face another ‘massive’ financial blow after Gerrard confession – pundit
Alan Hutton has claimed Rangers face a “massive” financial blow should they fail to make it out of the Europa League group stage.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gers star and regular Rangers TV pundit admitted the upcoming games against Brondby are a “must-win” for Steven Gerrard’s men.
As quoted by Sky Sports (20th October), Gerrard admitted Thursday’s clash could be considered a “must-win” game.

He insisted the Gers need a “minimum” of four points from their games against Brondby.
The Gers currently sit bottom of their Europa League group after two defeats in two games.
They face a fight to qualify for the knock-out stages, with only the winners of each group going through automatically.
The runners-up will face a playoff round, where teams from the Champions League will join the competition.
However, despite Gerrard’s claim his side need four points, Hutton suggested they really need two wins.
Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “After two games they’re sitting bottom of that obviously the group with zero points.
“You’ve got two games against Brondby that I think both are must-win. If you want to try and do something you have to win both these games.
“He doesn’t normally come out and say that but I think when you’re a player at Rangers football club, you have to be able to deal with pressure.
“The fans will demand it as well, this is a must-win game if they want to do anything.
“The financial impact is obviously massive. To go through to the later rounds brings in more revenue for the club. They obviously missed out on the Champions League, which was a bitter blow, but this is the next best thing.

“It’s huge for them. You have to do well in this competition. It’s a massive stage for these players as well. They want to show their worth on one of the biggest European stages.
“It’s a must-win. They have to get the three points.”
