Rangers fans all say the same thing as John Lundstram news confirmed

Rangers fans on social media are rejoicing at the news that John Lundstram has left Ibrox upon the expiry of his contract.

Rangers announced via their social media accounts on 1 June that Lundstram, 30, alongside Kemar Roofe, Borna Barisic, Ryan Jack and Jon McLaughlin have all left the club.

Fans immediately celebrated the news, although Gers were also criticised for allowing more players to leave for free after the exits of Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos last summer.

Many were quick to recount the midfielder’s goals against Dortmund and RB Leipzig in the run to the 2022 Europa League final, but plenty acknowledged that now was the time to move on after some “very poor” displays.

Football Insider revealed on 17 May that Lundstram could make a move back to England after leaving Ibrox with clubs tracking his availability.

The response to Lundstram’s exit was a celebratory one among the Ibrox supporters, with a huge rebuild now on the cards after a clearout.

Amid comment sections flooded with Celtic fans noting his own goal and red card at Parkhead in May, Gers fans insisted the news of his exit was a positive, with one labelling the midfielder a “disgrace”.

Many, while celebrating his exit, also pointed to the club’s “terrible” transfer business.

One fan even suggested Philippe Clement could lose his job if Lundstram is not adequately replaced.
