Rangers fans amazed by what Nils Koppen has done in ‘exciting’ transfer update

Rangers fans have been left stunned by the club’s early transfer business as Nils Koppen leads a new recruitment drive.

The arrival of 20-year-old AC Milan defender Clinton Nsiala was officially announced on 10 June, while Gers are also reportedly targeting deals to sign Yusuf Kabadayi, 20, and Albion Rrahmani, 23.

Meanwhile, a deal to sign Brazilian defender Jefte, 20, has also been confirmed by the club.

Koppen is beginning to implement his recruitment ideas at Ibrox, and signing young talent has been the focus of his first summer transfer window so far.

The new strategy under the director of football is to attract young players for relatively cheap fees, allow them to develop at Rangers, and sell them at a later date for a substantial profit.

Koppen arrived as the director of football recruitment at Ibrox in January, with the arrivals of Mohamed Diomande and Oscar Cortes representing the early changes he made.

This summer, albeit with the transfer window not yet having opened, that progress is continuing.

Fans have been amazed by the club’s progress so far, with one describing the business as “so unlike us”, while others were stunned by the “exciting” business.

In other news, a £40million Chelsea deal has led to Premier League rule changes.
