‘Take £1m for him’, ‘Pish’, ‘Man down’ – Rangers fans annihilate player for display v Kilmarnock

Rangers fans have annihilated Josh Windass for an inept performance in the 1-0 defeat to Kilmarnock at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.

Windass, 24, appears to have slipped back to his old ways with a poor outing against Killie, who heaped more misery on the Light Blues who are now going to be fighting to keep hold of second-place for the rest of the Scottish Premiership season.

The former Accrington Stanley attacker has been in scintillating form since Graeme Murty took charge at Ibrox.

He showed glimpses under Mark Warburton and Pedro Caixinha that he can be a very good player but his inconsistency has been a major concern among the Gers fanbase.

Windass scored the opening goal against Celtic last week in the 3-2 Old Firm loss, but went missing for the rest of the game – and it seemed that he carried that into Saturday’s defeat to Killie.

Fans were not happy with the 24-year-old on social media with one saying that it’s having a “man down” with him on the pitch.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

Windass has made 36 appearances in all competitions for Rangers this season, scoring 17 goals and supplying eight assists in the process.

Only Alfredo Morelos and Kilmarnock’s Kris Boyd have been more clinical than him in the Scottish Premiership this campaign.

In other Rangers news, Mark Allen’s Ibrox masterclass would continue if he signed this midfielder who humiliated Scott Brown.
