Rangers fans are all saying the same thing about James Tavernier after he smashes record

Rangers fans are delighted after James Tavernier became the highest-scoring defender in British football history.

The right-back netted in his club’s 3-1 Scottish Premiership win against Hibernian on Saturday (30 March).

It was the Ibrox captain’s 131st career goal, which came from his 450th appearance for the Scottish giants.

It didn’t take Tavernier long to clinch the record, with the right-back netting in the 26th minute of the match at Ibrox.

He could, however, have left his home stadium with another goal, but the skipper saw a penalty saved by Hibs goalkeeper David Marshall.

The miss from the spot has not dampened the mood of Gers supports, who have since taken to social media to congratulate Tavernier on his record.
