Rangers fans can’t believe Mohamed Diomande display as ‘frightening’ footage analysed

Rangers fans were in awe of Mohamed Diomande’s “frightening” performance against St Johnstone on Sunday afternoon (18 February).

The Gers moved past Celtic at the top of the table with a 3-0 win at McDiarmid Park thanks to Diomande’s opener and a brace from captain James Tavernier.

However, supporters were wowed by the January signing’s emphatic display in his first league start for his new club after joining on loan with an obligation to buy from Danish side FC Nordsjaelland.

The 22-year-old thrashed the ball into the back of the net from outside the box in the 37th minute after a neat piece of footwork.

Rangers fans were taken aback by Mohamed Diomande’s performance against St Johnstone

Across the 90 minutes, Diomande racked up two key passes, six successful ground duels, four tackles and two clearances on top of his “outrageous” strike.

Diomande has made just four appearances in all competitions for Rangers since his move, but he has very quickly made a massive impression on the Ibrox faithful.

They have taken to social media to hail the midfielder, and he has been compared to midfield superstars like N’Golo Kante and Yaya Toure after his latest outing.
