'Bin the Guccis', 'Imagine the scenes' - Rangers fans instruct Ibrox ace ahead of Celtic clash

Rangers were rampant in their Scottish Cup quarter-final tie against Falkirk at Ibrox on Sunday with a resounding 4-1 victory over their counterparts.

The win handed Graeme Murty’s side a semi-final battle against Old Firm rivals Celtic away at Park Head in April.

And there could be no doubting who was the hero of the hour at Ibrox as on-loan January transfer signing, Jason Cummings, banged in three of the four goals.

Never one to shy away from the spotlight, the striker delivered a Twitter response, photographed holding the match ball.

The Nottingham Forest ace now has six goals since his move to Ibrox and is already a fan favourite because of the immediate impact his arrival has had, as well as his outlandish goal celebrations.

And after his social media interaction, Light Blues fans were quick to respond with an instruction to deliver more of the same again on Sunday when the club hosts Celtic in the Scottish Premier League.

‘Get the boots on 4 Sunday and Fire a few rapid in again,’ was one fan’s order, while another demanded ‘Now win us the Old Firm on Sunday mate.’

It is a must-win game for both teams but particularly Rangers who will know that anything other than a win will spell the end of their title ambitions.

The Gers form at Ibrox has been up and down throughout the season but they will need to make it a fortress against their Glaswegian rivals at the weekend, otherwise it will be the green half of the city celebrating.

This is a selection of what fans had to say in response to their striker’s Tweet:
