'He offers absolutely nothing' - Rangers fans destroy mainstay after draw v Hearts

By Danny Wright

Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to destroy Kenny Miller for his performance in the 0-0 draw with Hearts at Ibrox on Saturday.

The Light Blues failed to get back to winning ways as they struggled to make a breakthrough against a stubborn Jam Tarts side that are currently without a permanent manager.

After last week’s embarrassing home loss to Neil Lennon’s Hibernian, Pedro Caixinha was expected to right wrongs and get one over Hearts, who had Gers transfer target Jamie Walker on the pitch for most of the game.

Miller, 37, was named in the starting line-up for the sixth consecutive time this season but his lacklustre displays continued as he failed to show any glimpses of being able to link up with fellow striker and summer signing Alfredo Morelos in the match.

The former Wolves and Celtic forward is now facing calls from fans to be axed from the squad in the wake of his poor form, with one supporter saying that “he offers absolutely nothing” to the team.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

Miller has been a mainstay of the Rangers side in recent seasons and was one of few decent performers on the club’s return to the Premiership last season when he scored 14 goals in all competitions.

The Light Blues will now be hoping to break their two-game winless run against Ross County next Sunday.

In other Rangers news, Chris Sutton has suggested how the Light Blues will react to the news that Patrick Roberts is close to a Celtic return.
