Rangers fans excited by Don Hutchison’s transfer claim – ‘Superb’, ‘Only option now’

Ex-Scotland, Liverpool and West Ham star Don Hutchison has dropped tantalising Rangers transfer reveal

Fans have claimed it would have been “magic” to see former Liverpool, Everton and West Ham ace Don Hutchison play for Rangers.

The retired midfielder took to social media ahead of the Gers’ huge clash against Aberdeen claiming that it “still bugs” him that he never took the chance to sign for the Ibrox giants.

Hutchison shared a photo of the passionate Ibrox crowds before kickoff – a game Philippe Clement’s side would win 2-1 to go level on points with archrivals Celtic.

The ex-Scotland international, a confessed Rangers fan, confirmed in a follow-up tweet that he had the opportunity to move to the club in 2000 under the management of Dick Advocaat.

Hutchison swapped Goodison Park, where he made 75 league appearances, for Sunderland in the summer of 2000, but fans couldn’t help but dream of the pro-turned-pundit at the Glasgow giants.

They have taken to social media to respond to Hutchison’s comments and some claim he could have become a “legend” at the club.
