Rangers fans explode at ‘horrible’ Michael Beale after ‘staggering’ claim

Rangers fans have been left fuming at former manager Michael Beale after his latest claim surrounding the exit of Fashion Sakala.

Sakala was sold under Beale in the summer of 2023 amid a wide-scale rebuild at Ibrox which saw a busy summer with incoming and outgoing deals.

Now, the boss has come out to claim he wanted to keep the Zambian winger at the club – insisting he was “the only one” of the exiting forwards he hoped would stay.

“The front six players, all the forwards, all left,” Beale shared, “And out of those who left, the only one I really didn’t want to leave was Fashion Sakala.

“He did really well for me, but he had an offer to triple his wages and the club had an offer to sell a player they brought in for free, for the best part of £4million. That was frustrating.”

However, it had been reported at the time – and Sakala has come out himself to claim – that the winger was made to train with the reserve squad by Beale in an effort to force him out.

Beale’s reputation at Ibrox has turned sour since his exit, and fans have once again been left fuming at his latest comments.

Beale oversaw a busy yet disastrous transfer window during his only summer as the boss at Ibrox, and the controversy surrounding it continues to grow even now.

That transfer window was a catalyst for many of the issues Rangers are currently fancying financially, with the blame lying mainly with Beale.

After a clip of the interview went viral on social media, fans have labelled the former boss “horrible” and a “liar”, raging at what he claims to be true.
