Rangers fans have blasted the decision to award Matt O’Riley a penalty in their Old Firm defeat against Celtic on Saturday (11 May).

After being sent to the VAR monitor to review his decision, the referee decided to stick with his on-field call despite protests from the Gers players.
O’Riley stepped up and saw his penalty saved by Jack Butland to keep the Light Blues in the game at Celtic Park.
But Brendan Rodgers’s side ran out 2-1 victors following O’Riley’s opener and John Lundstram’s own goal, with Cyriel Dessers getting on the scoresheet for the Gers.
The visitors were reduced to 10 men in the first half after Lundstrum was sent off for a reckless challenge on Alistair Johnston.
