'Embarrassing from Murty', 'Disgrace' - Rangers fans fume over treatment of 22-year-old
By Richard Parks
Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to fume over the treatment of striker Jason Cummings after he was omitted from the team for Saturday’s 4-0 win over Dundee.
With Josh Windass out injured, many Light Blues fans were hoping that manager Graeme Murty would pair Cummings in attack with Alfredo Morelos.
But the on-loan Nottingham Forest forward, 22, was snubbed in favour of veteran Kenny Miller, who was handed his first start since December.
Miller scored the opener as Rangers recorded a resounding victory at Ibrox, with further goals from Morelos, Jamie Murphy and Daniel Candeias.
Cummings was an unused substitute, in a decision that left many Rangers supporters miffed.

The front man has scored five goals in 13 matches for the Light Blues since joining on loan in January, but has started only two Scottish Premiership matches.
One supporter claimed “he hasn’t been given the light of day” by Murty, who was dubbed an “embarrassment” and a “disgrace” by other fans.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
After reading all twitters thoughts on jason cummings. I reckon he will go bk to hibs and shine like a star. Typical rangers let all the good ones go ???? @RangersFC

6.57am and still annoyed that Cummings hasn’t been given a chance. Respect what Kenny Miller has done for Rangers but he shouldn’t be in the team for next week; we need to be forward thinking and looking to the future. Let Cummings run wild and show us what he can do.

I wouldn’t blame Jason Cummings if he decides not to stay with Rangers. He hasn’t been given the light of day at Rangers and starting a 38 year old in front of him today wouldn’t have went down too well…

No danger we’re going to keep a hold of Cummings.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Cummings told us to gtf at the end of the season btw????

Cummings must be tearing his hair out

Miller starting ahead of cummings is a shambles

Jason Cummings came here thinking he could get his career back on track and potentially maybe come here permanently. Instead he’s had 10/20 mins here and there, and now bumped down the pecking order for 38 year old Kenny Miller. He won’t want to stay.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Cummings decided not stay permanently in the summer. Miller starting over him is a disgrace. Embarrassing from Murty

How unappealing to Cummings must a perminant move here be, sure he can accept Morelos starting ahead of him, but no getting a start ahead of Miller, a Miller that’s scored in one league game this season, disgrace
