Rangers fans: James Tavernier is ‘done’ at Ibrox after new twist

James Tavernier may now have played his last game for Rangers after his performance in the 4-4 friendly draw v Union Berlin.

Philippe Clement’s side are still searching for their first win of pre-season following defeats to Ajax, Man United and Birmingham City.

However, the performances have been a constant source of frustration to fans, with those of James Tavernier a particular concern.

His display against Union Berlin led supporters to suggest he is now finished at the club amid plenty of speculation that his future may rest away from Ibrox.

Football Insider revealed on 21 July that the captain is in advanced negotiations with Turkish side Trabzonspor after agreeing personal terms.

Now, the right-back is edging closer to his exit, but his role in shipping four goals in the pre-season friendly may be his final contribution to the Glasgow club.

Fans have labelled his display “unprofessional” while insisting he may already have “downed tools”.
