'Quality player' - Rangers fans react as defender deal is wrapped up

Rangers fans have been reacting on Twitter after it was confirmed that defender Myles Beerman has agreed a new deal at Ibrox.

The Light Blues announced via their official Youth Academy Twitter account on Monday that Beerman, 19, has extended his deal at the club until 2019 as his previous terms were due to expire at the end of this season.

It was also confirmed that goalkeeper Brian Kinnear had also penned fresh terms with the Gers.

Beerman broke into the Rangers first team last season when Pedro Caixinha was in charge due to a defensive injury crisis.

The four-times Malta international impressed fans as he made eight appearances for the Light Blues.

At the start of this season, Beerman struggled to get back into the senior squad and his only contribution to it was a spot on the bench for the 1-0 Europa League win against Progres Niederkorn in July.

In January, the 19-year-old full-back was sent out on loan to Scottish Championship club Queen of the South, however he also struggled to get game time there by making just four appearances before his deal was terminated earlier than expected.

Now, Rangers fans have taken to social media to offer their thoughts on Beerman’s new deal.
