Rangers fans react as playmaker makes reportedly emphatic transfer decision
By Dominic Toner
Rangers youngster Billy Gilmour is reportedly on the verge of joining Chelsea – and the Gers fans responded on Twitter to the news.
Rangers website Got The Battle Fever On claim that the 15-year-old midfielder is set to join the Blues next week.
The report details that the Rangers academy star has decided to make a move to the Premier League giants, despite being offered a professional deal at Ibrox.
Gilmour turns 16 on 11 June and will then be able to sign his first professional contract with the current leaders of the Premier League.
The teenage playmaker is a highly rated star and has been training with the club’s first team, but has never made a senior appearance.

Fair play to the kid and his family, but I doubt you'll hear of him again till he's about 21 and turns up at st Johnston or Hamilton.

Chelsea have been keen to improve youth in the past decade and will hope that Rangers wonderkid Gilmour can develop into a first team player.
The Blues have become recognised for loaning out several players and their youth teams are also extremely successful.
However, captain John Terry is the last player to make the grade from the academy as the competition is extremely tough.
Gilmour is likely to join up with Chelsea’s Under-18s if he completes the move to the London-based club and will have to work his way up to get near Antonio Conte’ set-up.
In other Rangers transfer news, Caixinha has made an emphatic decision on four players.
