Rangers fans react on Twitter after Celtic demolished by PSG

By James Black

Celtic were thumped 5-0 by Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League – and fans of Old Firm rivals Rangers immediately took to Twitter to lap it up.

Rangers fans laughed at everything from Scott Brown to the atmosphere at Parkhead as they, like PSG, destroyed Celtic.

Neymar opened the scoring for the French champions before Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani made it 3-0 before half-time as Celtic sunk without trace.

Mikael Lustig’s own goal made it 4-0 with less than ten minutes left before Cavani grabbed his second of the night.

Despite the massive gulf in resources, Rangers fans weren’t holding back how much they were enjoying seeing their rivals torn apart.

Here are some of their comments:

Celtic now sit bottom of their group after Anderlecht lost 3-0 to Bayern Munich in the other fixture in the group.

Brendan Rodgers’ side were miles off PSG and will need to up their game if they are to make it into – at least – third and secure European football after Christmas.

Looking on the bright side, Celtic started off with a 7-0 defeat to Barcelona in last year’s Champions League so there’s always that.
