Rangers fans react on Twitter as Celtic open up gap in title race

Rangers fans weren’t surprised to see Aberdeen lose against Celtic in Sunday’s Scottish Premiership clash at Pittodrie – and think the upcoming Old Firm clash will be make-or-break in the title race.
The Hoops restored their lead over their bitter rivals to nine points in the table ahead of the two sides meeting on March 11th before meeting one last time after the split.
Aberdeen have now lost all six meetings with Rangers or Celtic this season and their run of defeats against Celtic stretches to ten games.
Gers fans were quick to put the put into Dons’ boss Derek McInnes but think the remaining fixtures with Celtic will be crucial – with one fan saying two wins from two against Brendan Rodgers’ side is a “must.”
Here are some of their comments on Twitter:

The Gers face St. Johnstone on Tuesday night in the Scottish Premiership and could – at least temporarily – go back to six points off Celtic with a win at McDiarmid Park before the Hoops play the following night.
Both sides also have a Scottish Cup quarter-final next weekend before going head-to-head at Ibrox in a match that will have huge consequences for the destination of the league trophy at the end of the season.
