'Excellent', 'Running the game' - Rangers fans rave about midfielder for display v Hearts

Rangers midfielder Greg Docherty put in a fantastic performance for the Ibrox giants in the Scottish Premiership clash with Hearts on Saturday – and had Gers fans raving over how good he will be for them.
The 21-year-old was one of the Gers’ best players as the Light Blues tried to break down the Jambos’ defence and pick up a much-needed win over Craig Levein’s side.
Docherty had a big hand in Jamie Murphy’s opening goal for the Gers with an inch-perfect pass and fans were blown away – with one saying his partnership with Sean Goss was the best in Scottish football since Barry Ferguson and Kevin Thomson.
Here are some of their comments on Twitter:

Docherty joined the Gers from Hamilton near the end of the January transfer window after 12 years with the New Douglas Park side.
The 21-year-old is a boyhood Gers fan and put in what way by far his best performance for the Gers so far in the clash with the Jambos.
Docherty made over 100 appearances for Hamilton before moving to Ibrox last month and is starting to show why the Gers shelled out £650,000 for the Scotland Under-21 international.
Saturday’s clash with Hearts was Docherty’s sixth for the Gers after penning a four-and-a-half year contract with the Ibrox giants.
In other Rangers news, the club have secured an out-of-window deal for a goalkeeper.
