'Invisible', 'Waste of a jersey' - Rangers fans destroy midfielder after draw v Partick

By Danny Wright

Rangers fans have torn into Graham Dorrans even though he scored a magnificent goal in the 2-2 draw with Partick Thistle at Firhill on Friday night.

Dorrans, 30, scored an absolute belter from outside the area to earn his side a point but according to the majority of supporters he didn’t do anywhere near enough to help his team create chances throughout the 90 minutes.

The former West Brom midfielder, who was signed from Norwich in the summer transfer window by Pedro Caixinha, had a blistering start to life with his boyhood club by scoring a brace on his debut in the 2-1 win over Motherwell but has seen his performances drop off since.

Most of the supporters were angered when the manager decided to remove Ryan Jack from proceedings in the second half instead of Dorrans, who was given the captain’s armband following substitutions of Lee Wallace and Kenny Miller.

One fan even called the midfielder “invisible” for his display in the centre of the park.
