'Time to come back' - Rangers fans react to throwback tweet by former Ibrox player

Rangers icon Giovanni van Bronckhorst had Gers fans reminiscing about the good old days after posting a video him scoring a rocket for the Light Blues in a 6-1 win over Dundee during his time at Ibrox.
The Dutchman was a huge favourite during his time with the Gers as as he starred in Dick Advocaat’s star-studded side in late 90’s and early 2000’s after a £5.5million move from Feyenoord.

Van Bronckhorst joined the Gers in 1998 and spent three years at Ibrox before an £8.5million move to Arsenal in 2001.
Gers fans were quick to ask the Feyenoord boss to return to Ibrox as they try to win the club’s 55th title after seven years without a major trophy – with one fan saying the Dutchman is “welcome back anytime.”
Here are some of their comments on Twitter:

The Dutchman won two Scottish titles, two Scottish Cups and a Scottish League Cup during a trophy-laden stint at Ibrox before his move south.
During his time with the Gers, van Bronckhorst made 117 appearances and scored 22 times.
The 43-year-old went on to win the Premier League and FA Cup at Arsenal before lifting two Spanish titles and a Champions League during a four-year stint at Barcelona.
