Long-time Rangers target Jamie Walker has signed for Wigan – and fans of the Glasgow club do not seem to mind in the least.
Wigan confirmed the signing of Walker from Hearts on their official Twitter account on Monday, bringing to an end a lot of speculation surrounding his next whereabouts.

The Gers pursued the winger under former boss Pedro Caixinha and bids were confirmed to have gone in for the ex-Scotland Under-21 international throughout last summer.
Caixinha’s sacking in October seems to have ended that move with new boss Graeme Murty instead opting for Brighton winger Jamie Murphy.
The Gers fans seemed happy with the decision to sign Murphy instead – with one fan saying Murphy was the “better player.”
Here are some of their comments on Twitter:
Still wish Jamie Walker the best of luck! Hope he does really well! Rangers fan and Rangers obviously didn’t revive their interest! Good luck Jamie!????????????

The Jamie Walker thing is quite funny in hindsight. Seems injury prone and never really impressed me that much. Wish him well at Wigan.

You paid £300k for him, our first offer was substantially higher ????????
Trust me pal; Go have a look, you won't see any Rangers fans moaning about not getting Jamie Walker, we got Jamie Murphy instead.

Is Jamie Walker not a better player than Wigan Athetic?

Jamie Walker away to Wigan for a reported £300k despite us putting in bigger offers in previous transfer windows. This just goes to show how pathetic some clubs are in Scotland ????
Oh well they've lost out on a bigger pay cheque while we've gained a better player ????????????

The Gers made an offer for Walker before the transfer window closed in August after then-manager Pedro Caixinha watched the player in person a few times.
Hearts refused to budge on their valuation and the Gers were expected to snap up the winger on a pre-contract agreement before diverting their focus elsewhere.
The 24-year-old was out of contract in the summer and had previously made clear his intention not to sign a new deal at Tynecastle despite Hearts wanting to keep him in the capital.
Walker has made 19 appearances for the Jambos this season, scoring twice, but has failed to come anywhere near the form he showed last season.
In other Rangers news, the Gers have tabled a six-figure bid for this international attacker.
