Rangers fans have taken to social media to react to midfielder Jordan Rossiter stepping up his return from injury after completing 60 minutes for the Gers’ Under-20 side in their 1-0 win over Valencia on Monday.
The 20-year-old has only managed 10 appearances for the Light Blues since signing from Liverpool in 2016 after a succession of injuries have sidelined the England youth international.
Rossiter’s last appearances for the Gers came in August’s Scottish Premiership win over Ross County and Ibrox boss Graeme Murty will be hoping the former Liverpool midfielder can come into his side and contribute in the second-half of the season.
Rangers fans were delighted to see the 20-year-old back playing – with one saying he is the “best player” the Gers have.
Here are some of their comments on Twitter:
Delighted to see Jordan Rossiter start today in Valencia , 60 mins hopefully then onto the next game for him. Getting him back match fit will be like a new signing and for me he's one of the first names on the team sheet

Good for him though. Hopefully this is the start of a proper run of games for him.

Rossiter signed a four-year deal when he swapped Anfield for Ibrox but has struggled to stay fit for any prolonged period of time since joining the Gers.
The midfielder spent much of last season injured before returning at the start of this season only to suffer another ijury which has kept him out of action for five months.
Rossiter could come into contention for the trip to Somerset Park to face Ayr United in the Scottish Cup this weekend if there is no reaction to his runout against Valencia.
In other Rangers news, it can be revealed that a key first teamer has sensationally asked to leave after the board failed to stick to their promise of giving him a new deal during the transfer window.
