Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to back Pedro Caixinha’s reported decision to axe Kenny Miller for their Scottish Premiership clash against Hamilton on Friday night.
The Scottish Sun claim that manager Pedro Caixinha has omitted veteran striker Miller from the matchday squad for the trip to the Accies.
It is said that the forward, 37, has been ordered to stay at home, train with the youth team and take no part in the match as Rangers aim to bounce back from their defeat to Celtic last weekend.
It comes just days after Caixinha reportedly tore into his squad at a meeting following the Old Firm defeat to Celtic last weekend.
But Rangers supporters have come out in support of their beleaguered manager and his decision to axe a mainstay of their side.
Some fans have even questioned why it has taken this long to drop Miller from the team.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Miller bombed out. People say shades of Le Guen. Difference was Le Guen dropped 28 year old captain for Gavin Rae. Not 38 year old

Miller should be dropped, good presence for team but I think a role in coaching staff should be in the works, age is hindering both parties

Kenny Miller being dropped to the Under 20s with no paper willing to suggest why he’s been dropped speaks volumes.

Miller has started six of Rangers’ seven league matches this season, although he was dropped from the starting XI against Celtic in favour of summer signing Carlos Pena.
The former Scotland international came off the bench in the second half at Ibrox last weekend but it is reported he will not even make the 18 for the Hamilton match.
