Former Rangers forward Steven Naismith is reportedly close to completing a move to Hearts from Norwich City – and Gers  fans are destroying the continued attempts to suggest the Gers were”pipped” to his signing.
Naismith was pictured arriving at Tynecastle on Thursday afternoon to sign for the ESPFL club alongside manager Craig Levein.

The Ibrox giants do not seem to have ever seriously considered Naismith returning – with STV reporting Hearts were the only club to do so – yet it has been widely reported that the Gers have lost out on the 31-year-old’s signature.
Gers fans widely mocked the reports the Gers were ‘pipped’ with one fan saying “someone is telling porkies.”
Here are some of their comments on Twitter:

The Scotland international walked away from Rangers in 2012 after the club’s financial meltdown after using TUPE legislation to reject to his contract being transferred to the club’s newparent company – at the time known as Sevco Scotland.
Naismith  and then-team-mate Steven Whittaker, held a press conference to announce “the loyalty I had was with Rangers. I’ve never met anyone from Sevco since it’s been formed.”
After leaving the Gers, Naismith signed for Everton on a free transfer before heading to Norwich in 2016.
During his time with Rangers, Naismith lifted three Scottish titles, two Scottish League Cups and a single Scottish Cup.
Naismith has won 45 caps for Scotland but hasn’t featured for the national team since the 1-0 World Cup qualifying win over Slovenia in March 2017.
The Gers have signed attackers Jason Cummings and Jamie Murphy on loan this month.
