Rangers fans react on Twitter to confirmed Jack signing

By Derek Smithson

Rangers have completed the signing of midfielder Ryan Jack from Aberdeen – and the club’s supporters revealed their delight on Twitter with the deal.

The Gers confirmed on their official website that the 25-year-old has completed his move to Ibrox on Thursday afternoon.

He leaves behind the Dons after making 250 appearances for them and has signed a three-year deal with the Light Blues.

Jack was the captain of Aberdeen last season and has played an important role in recent years for his hometown club, but has decided to make the switch to their league rivals.

The central midfielder is renowned for his tidy work in front of the back four and his ability in possession.

He finished second in the Scottish Premiership last season with Aberdeen, but has decided to make the move to third-placed Rangers.

The Gers fans have expressed their joy that they have signed the Scotsman and feel that he will help improve their squad.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Jack will be hoping he can help bolster Pedro Caixinha’s midfield and is likely to compete alongside the likes of Josh Windass, Andy Halliday, Niko Kranjcar and Jamie Barjonas.

The combative midfielder has 18 appearances in the Europa League and should be able to bring some good experience to the Rangers squad.

He has become the second summer signing for the Gers as experienced defender Bruno Alves on Wednesday.

Caixinha is set to undergo a busy transfer window and has already moved quickly to bring in new recruits.

In other Rangers transfer news, they are weighing up a move for a Championship senior man.
