Rangers fans will be making their first trip to Celtic Park in four years on 10 September – and Twitter went into meltdown.
The famous Old-Firm encounter has also been pencilled in on New Year’s Day, which prompted excited responses from fans of both clubs.
With the prospect of The Gers’ new signing Joey Barton facing off against Celtic captain Scott Brown, and the added incentive of last season’s penalty shoot-out drama in the Scottish Cup semi-final, the anticipation is greater than ever.
The third match-up between the two sides will take place on 11 March, with the final fixture still to be decided after the league split.
The showdown has Rangers fans chomping at the bit in anticipation of the encounter, with many taking to Twitter to express their excitement.

Many tweeted their publicity-hungry new midfielder Barton, while others were just happy to see Rangers return to where The Gers’ fans believe is their rightful home. One fan was even thankful that the big game wasn’t on the same day as his wedding.
@Joey7Barton OF fixtures out Joey. The return of the new year fixture too. You'll never experience anything like it. #rfc 🔴⚪️🔵
