Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to rave about Sean Goss after he made his debut for the Glasgow club in the 2-0 win against Aberdeen at Ibrox on Wednesday night.

Goss, 22, was signed up by Graeme Murty earlier this month on loan from QPR, but is perhaps the most unknown of all four recruits to have so far been snapped up by the Light Blues.

The midfielder, along with Russell Martin and Jamie Murphy, started against the Dons and wasted no time in impressing a packed Ibrox.

Goss has already wowed fans with his performances in the Florida Cup during the winter break, but he has seemingly managed to replicate that form into a competitive setting on Derek McInnes’ first trip to Rangers since snubbing the chance to become the club’s manager.

Fans were not distracted by McInnes sideshow though and were on Twitter to heap praise on Goss for his performance.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

Goss had not kicked a ball in a competitive environment all season until he started against Aberdeen on Wednesday night.

He had made the bench a couple of times for QPR in the Championship but the former Manchester United player never managed to get on the pitch.

In other Rangers news, fans have been in meltdown in Twitter as Paul Gascoigne posted a brilliant tweet about the Gers.
