New Rangers midfielder Sean Goss had his first outing for the Gers in the 1-0 win over Atletico Mineiro in the Florida Cup and fans on Twitter were left raving about him as being the “next Pirlo”.
Goss, 22, played the first-half as Gers boss Graeme Murty fielded two teams against the Brazilians at the Orlando City Stadium.
Goss impressed playing in a central midfield berth and showed a nice range of passing and impressive reading of the game.
The former Manchester United youngster joined the Gers on a season-long loan from QPR and joined Jamie Murphy in making his first appearance since moving to Ibrox.
Fans were impressed with what they saw of the midfielder with one fan calling him “amazing.”
Here are some of their comments on Twitter:
Not too many complaints, Halliday and Windass done well second half.
Bates must do better with the ball at his feet, while I’m sure even Kranjcar himself knows he’s done.
Sean Goss looks extremely tidy as well.
A good win all considered.

Some good performances. I liked Windass in the 10. Sean Goss was good and Candeias and Murphy as well. Decent workout.

Sean Goss is amazing so far. Serge Atakayi as well. Both of them are extremely skilful. It’s terrifying.

The German-born midfielder spent five years at Old Trafford before leaving in search of first-team football 12 months ago.
After a £500,000 move to QPR last January, Goss made a handful of appearances for the Loftus Road side but had yet to taste any action so far this season.
Goss joins Rangers as they struggle with injuries to a number of key midfielders with Graham Dorrans, Ryan Jack and Jordan Rossiter all sidelines.
The midfielder is likely to be involved again when the Gers face Corinthians on Saturday night in their final game of the Florida Cup.
In other Rangers transfer news, the club are working on beating Celtic to the signing of a 22-year-old goal machine ripping up the league.
