Rangers fans react on Twitter to Scottish Cup semi-final draw v Celtic

Rangers have been drawn against bitter rivals Celtic in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup – and Gers fans are absolutely buzzing about it.

The Old Firm giants will meet at Hampden next month for a place in the final after the draw at Ibrox on Sunday night set up the mouth-watering Hampden clash.

Gers fans cant wait for the opportunity to put their rivals to the sword and take a step towards lifting their first major trophy since 2011.

The Glasgow giants will go head-to-head on the weekend of April 14th/15th at Hampden.

The Gers last lifted the trophy with a win over Falkirk in 2009 when Nacho Novo scored the only goal of the game.

Murty’s side booked their place in the semi-final with a convincing 4-1 win over the Bairns thanks to Jason Cummings’ first-ever career hat-trick and an own goal from Falkirk captain Aaron Muirhead.

The winners will face the the winner of Motherwell v Kilmarnock or Aberdeen in the final for a shot at winning the oldest trophy in world football.

The two sides will go head-to-head next week in the Scottish Premiership in a match which will have huge ramifications on the destination of the title.
