Rangers fans rave about Murty decision ahead of clash v St Johnstone

Graeme Murty has named his side to face St. Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership – and Rangers fans were happy to see a strong line-up named for Saturday’s clash.

The Light Blues have made two changes to the side which snatched a 2-1 win at Easter Road on Wednesday night against Hibs with Kenny Miller and Jamie Barjonas making way for Daniel Candeias and Ryan Jack.

The Gers are expected to line-up in a 4-1-2-1- again with Daniel Candeias playing as a number 10 behind Josh Windass and Alfredo Morelos.

Rangers’ starting XI was confirmed in a Tweet by the club’s official Twitter account.

The Gers have won their last four games and could close to within two points of Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic with a win over Tommy Wright’s side.

Fans were delighted with Murty’s team decision prior to kick-off.

Here are some of their comments on Twitter:

The Light Blues have found themselves having to grind out wins in their previous two games after falling behind to an early goal.

Rangers cruised to a comfortable 3-0 win the last time the two sides met back in October at McDiarmid Park.

With an Old Firm clash rapidly approaching and Aberdeen winning in the lunchtime kick-off against Hibs, Graeme Murty’s side really need to take three points against St. Johnstone.

A win for Rangers would take their current winning run to five games after going almost the entire of 2017 failing to win more than two games in succession.

In other Rangers news, Barry Ferguson has urged the Gers to sign this £4million+ dynamo who is also wanted by Celtic.
