'Biggest flop at Ibrox', 'Shame' - Rangers fans react to reported Euro club hunt for senior player

Rangers defender Bruno Alves could be set for a quick exit from Ibrox with Serie A side Benevento looking to bring the veteran Portugal international back to Italian football, according to a report.
Respected Italian journalist Gianluco Di Marzio has claimed on his personal website that the side sitting at the bottom of Serie A have begun negotiations with the Ibrox giants over signing the 94-times capped defender.
Senior player Alves has made 17 appearances for the Gers since arriving from Cagliari in the summer but hasn’t had anywhere near the impact expected.
Rangers fans are quite happy to see the veteran move on with one saying his “heart was never really in it.”
Here are some of their comments on Twitter:

Alves missed the start of the club’s campaign when they took on Progres Niederkorn in the Europa League as he was representing Portugal in the Confederations Cup in Russia.
Since arriving at Ibrox, Alves has struggled with a series of niggly injuries which have forced him out of some of the Gers’ biggest games – including missing one Old Firm and limping out of the other after 16 minutes.
The Gers have already brought Norwich City captain Russell Martin in on a season-long loan – ostensibly as a replacement for Alves.
In other Rangers news, there have been discussions held about the Gers’ hunt to sign this international playmaker from the Premier League.
