Kenny Miller and Lee Wallace have been reportedly suspended by Rangers following showdown talks at Ibrox today – and fans have delivered mixed verdicts on Twitter.

Widespread reports in the Scottish media claim the senior pair have been punished following the events at Hampden Park in the wake of Sunday’s 4-0 defeat to Celtic.

Reliable Gers blog Four Lads Had a Dream reported late this morning (Tuesday) that Miller, 38, and Wallace, 30, have been indefinitely suspended pending an internal investigation into what happened in the dressing room.

The Scottish Sun claim Miller and Wallace, who were pictured entering Ibrox in club suits this morning, questioned the authority of manager Graeme Murty in the changing room as tempers flared following the defeat.

Murty was fuming at their conduct and has told the Rangers hierarchy that he wants them out of his squad for the final month of the season.

Rangers supporters took to social media en masse to react to the suspensions of the senior players, with some praising them for standing up to Murty and others claiming they had gone way too far by disrespecting the manager.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
