Rangers midfielder Carlos Pena could be on his way back to Ibrox this summer after an incident involving a six-pack of beer whilst on loan at Cruz Azul, according to a report.

The Scottish Sun states that Pedro Caixinha, manager of the Mexican outfit has revealed that following the player being caught on camera buying beer, the former Gers boss might be prepared to axe the 28-year-old months early.

This would result in the midfielder returning to the Scottish Premiership side and it’s news that has been greeted with a great deal of sarcasm by the Light Blues faithful.

Rangers fans have had a difficult few days following their humiliating defeat at the hands of Celtic which led to the dismissal from the club of Kenny Miller and Lee Wallace.

Not only that, but calls to sack Graeme Murty have increased all the more in light of the defeat, as a dark cloud continues to hang over the Scottish giants.

There is a sense that the club is in turmoil and with Pena facing a possible return to the club, it’s not left supporters feeling any better about the last few days.
