Rangers fans react on Twitter to Beerman display v Aberdeen

By Will Butcher

Rangers fans are full of praise for teenage left-back Myles Beerman on Twitter after he starred at left-back during their surprise win over Aberdeen.

Pedro Caixinha’s side won 3-0 against the run of play at Pittodrie, as veteran striker Kenny Miller scored a quick-fire brace with two superb finishes before Joe Dodoo rounded off the scoring.

Beerman, 18, started just his second Rangers game after shining in his debut against Kilmarnock in the middle of the week, along with defender David Bates.

Malta Under-21 international Beerman deputised for captain Lee Wallace with aplomb, keeping Shay Logan and Kenny MacLean quiet on Aberdeen’s right flank.

Rangers fans reacted on Twitter with delight for their number 61, as the Gers remain unbeaten under new manager Caixinha after four games.

Some fans believe Wallace will struggle to regain his place in the side when he returns to full fitness.

The win sees Rangers close the gap on second-placed Aberdeen to nine points with six games remaining in Scotland’s top flight.

The Gers next face Partick Thistle on Saturday, as they look to stretch Caixinha’s unbeaten start as Rangers manager to five games at Ibrox.
