Rangers fans react on Twitter to Foderingham display against Inverness

By Harvey Byrne

Wes Foderingham ensured his side kept a clean sheet against Inverness on Saturday – and Rangers fans on Twitter were delighted with his display.

The 25-year-old started that match in between the Gers’ goalposts, a position he has held since he joined in 2015.

His performance on Christmas Eve only added to why he’s the club’s number one as he faced a barrage of attacks, which proved fruitless against the excellent goalkeeper.

Additionally, the goalkeeper had to ensure that he wasn’t beaten with his attack only able to score one with a Martyn Waghorn first half strike proving decisive in the 1-0 victory.

Foderingham’s performance caught the eye of many Rangers supporters, with many keen to hail the goalkeeper as their man-of-the-match.

Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Rangers’ three points against Invrness have seen them move seven points clear of Aberdeen in second place.

The Scottish giants will be keen to finish in the top two in their first season back in the Premiership since they suffered demotion in 2012.

A second placed finish will see them handed a place in the Europa League play-off spots for next season, but their next target will be to make up the 14-point gap on fierce rivals Celtic.
