Rangers fans react on Twitter to Joe Dodoo performance vs Hearts
By Will Butcher
Rangers fans were impressed with Joe Dodoo on Twitter after the striker was a rare shining light in Rangers 2-0 loss to Hearts.
The 21-year-old started up front in Mark Warburton’s 4-3-3 system, with Joe Garner and Martyn Waghorn left to watch from the substitute’s bench.
But the Gers’ number 14 was one of the only creative players in the side as Hearts secured a 2-0 win against their Scottish Premiership rivals. Dodoo looked sharp, but failed to provide the spark to prevent the Gers from suffering their third loss of the season.
Glimpses of quality came from Dodoo, including an acrobatic effort that found the back of the net that was ruled offside.
Rangers fans reacted on Twitter to the performance of their young striker, with many claiming that he should not have been substituted in the 66th minute.

Dodoo and Garner up top would of won us the game tonight. Manager needs to change the system or his P45 will be handed to him

Rangers awful tonight. I hope we don't scapegoat Dodoo, Tavernier has been appalling, can't defend. Players no confidence at all. #Rangers

Having seen what Dodoo brings to the team and what Garner brings to the team, how good would they be in a front two ????

A summer signing from Leicester City, Dodoo had been given his chance after scoring a brace in the 2-1 win against Partick Thistle on Saturday.
Winger Robbie Muirhead was the hero for Hearts, as he scored a superb brace that sees Hearts leapfrog Aberdeen and the Gers into second.
In other Rangers news, Warburton has shared his January transfer plans.
