Rangers fans react on Twitter to late Aberdeen defeat

By Dominic Toner

Rangers suffered a cruel 2-1 defeat to Aberdeen on Sunday – and the club’s fans voiced their frustration on Twitter.

James Maddison netted a 90th minute free-kick to earn three points for the hosts and condemn Rangers to their second defeat in the league this season.

Andy Halliday’s penalty had levelled the match at 1-1 after Jonny Hayes put Aberdeen in front at the beginning of the second-half.

Mark Warburton made four changes from the side that beat Queen of the South 5-0 in the mid-week League Cup clash but failed to replicate the form in the league.

Rangers are now without a win in their last four league games and are seven points adrift of leaders Celtic, having played a game more.

Rangers’ return has been a difficult one and they have only won games against Dundee and Motherwell so far.
