Rangers fans react on Twitter to late Joe Dodoo cameo in win against Falkirk

Rangers manager Graeme Murty decided to give fans a rare glimpse of fringe player Joe Dodoo in Sunday’s 4-1 win against Falkirk – and fans on Twitter happy to see him in action at Ibrox.

Dodoo, 22, made just his second Gers appearance of the season with a late cameo off the bench when he was introduced in the 80th minute to replace Josh Windass.

The former Leicester attacker had little time to make an impact as Rangers had already ensured they would breeze into the Scottish Cup semi-finals courtesy of a hat-trick by Jason Cummings and own goal by Aaron Muirhead.

Dodoo spend the first half of the season on loan at Charlton in England’s League One, but returned to Ibrox in January as Murty decided to recall several players that were loaned out by Pedro Caixinha in the summer.

The 22-year-old had only played in the win over minnows Fraserburgh earlier in the Scottish Cup since returning and looks nowhere near to getting into the side in the Premiership.

Rangers fans were still happy to see Dodoo though with many joking that they thought he put in a man of the match shift.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

Dodoo made just eight appearances in all competitions for Charlton, scoring two goals before he returned to Ibrox in January.

In other Rangers news, this Premier League playmaker wanted a future at Ibrox in 2011 and this summer is his chance to realise that dream.
