'Outstanding' - Rangers fans blown away by 23-year-old display v Hibernian

Rangers attacker Josh Windass kept up his recent run of fantastic goal-scoring form for the Gers by grabbing the equaliser in their Scottish Premiership clash with Hibernian at Easter Road on Wednesday night.

The strike was the 23-year-old’s fifth in eight games and the Ibrox support was delighted with the Englishman’s impact for Graeme Murty’s side.

Windass scored in the 43rd minute before Alfredo Morelos injury-time goal fired Rangers into a 2-1 half-time lead.

Fans were happy to hold their hands up and admit they had called it wrong with Windass after a poor start to his Ibrox career.

Here are some of their comments on Twitter:

Windass has been a disappointment for Rangers fans since signing from Accrington Stanley last year alongside Matt Crooks..

The 23-year-old was used in central midfield last season by Mark Warburton before Pedro Caixinha utilised him as a left winger.

Since Graeme Murty has taken charge, Windass has been used as part of the Light Blues’ front two and has repaid Murty with regular goals.

The former Accrington ace has made 21 appearances this season and scored six times for the Gers after only hitting the net once in 27 games last season.

Windass is under contract at Ibrox until 2020.
