Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to slam Josh Windass for his performance in the 3-0 win against Aberdeen at Ibrox on Wednesday night.

Windass, 23, was named to start the Premiership fixture and as the Light Blues start to take command in the first-half, the ex-Accrington Stanley attacker had a goal disallowed.

It was perhaps the correct decision as replays showed that Windass was marginally offside.

Although the Light Blues bounced back to winning ways, Windass did little to convince the fans that he was good enough on the night after a series of below-par outings.

One Rangers supporter even claimed that the attacker is the “weak-link” in the team.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

Windass has been a mainstay of the Gers first-team this season, making 19 appearances across all competitions and scoring four goals in the process – with his most recent one coming against Dundee in last week’s loss at Dens Park.

He has started all but one game in the Premiership and even that omission was down to an injury.

Rangers moved within three points of Aberdeen with their win on Wednesday night.

James Tavernier scored in each half with Carlos Pena also finding the target on his return to the starting line-up.

In other Rangers news, Bob Malcolm has taken a vicious swipe at the Gers board in a foul-mouthed rant.
