Rangers fans ‘shocked’ as Kenny McLean talks open
Rangers fans are questioning their club about potentially signing Kenny McLean this summer from Norwich City.
Football Insider revealed last week that preliminary talks have got underway as the Gers are in the market for an experienced central midfielder this summer.
McLean’s current deal at Carrow Road expires in 2026, and the Championship club can extend it for another year.
The fee for his services is expected to be around £1million, and the 32-year-old could be part of a significant overhaul at the club this summer as Philippe Clement looks to rebuild his squad.
Rangers have already made five new signings this summer as the club looks to be more competitive next season, but McLean would bring some seniority after making over 600 career appearances.
Rangers fans taken aback by Kenny McLean news
Despite the fact the Gers are McLean’s boyhood club, there are some fans not open to the idea of him moving up to Ibrox in this window.
Other fans aren’t sure that McLean is a step up from the level of players that were previously at the club, such as John Lundstram.
Then there are certain Rangers fans who aren’t happy about this deal happening because of the cost that signing him will bring.
